St Germain

Homeward bound today, but as our flight wasn't until late afternoon, we had the morning to ourselves. We made our way into the centre of Paris and found ourselves at the Pompidou Centre. After a leisurely coffee, we had a walk along the river to Notre Dame and continued into St Germain.

I've never really explored this area of Paris but it's definitely on my list if I return. Traditional and full of character, I particularly liked this run of shops - a green grocer, a fishmonger, a butcher, a cheese shop, a wine merchants, a patisserie and bakery and finally a traditional cafe! Wish Teddington had this run of shops!
