oh, the sky!
Nov 8th -Steve and I went to Robinson Preserve on Sunday, with our bikes secured in the bike rack. Robinson is a large 487 acre preserve that has miles of both paved and shell paths for bicycles and walkers. While it was not our most favorite place to walk in the past (not enough shade) we found it great for biking. We spent an hour there with some stops and rode 6 miles!
This was one of our stops, at the end of a boardwalk overlooking a bayou under a large cloud. This bayou runs out to Tampa Bay and eventually the Gulf of Mexico. Look at the "extra" photos to see more of the boardwalk and bayou. The mullet (fish) were jumping like crazy but I was only able to get photos of splashes, no fish in the air. I saw one leap straight up out of the water though, crazy!!
We had a great day. Breakfast out, Robinson Preserve, back home for a shower and then to the UTC Mall, which neither of us had ever been to before! We found just what we were looking for and put my dear Uncle's lovely Gift Cards to Crate & Barrel to good use. When we got home, a glass of wine and a game of cribbage! That was so fun, simple things mean a lot. xo
I have back blipped Nov 1-8, just use the arrow, at the top!
"The most significant gifts are the ones most easily overlooked. Small, everyday blessings: woods, health, music, laughter, memories, books, family, friends, second chances, warm fireplaces, and all the footprints scattered throughout our days." -Sue Monk Kidd
