Cakes cakes cakes..

We survived! Although quite windy, it never got to the strength that had been forecast in the preceding days. There were some good waves this morning..

I've made a slight alteration to the calendar at the request of a sponsor, and did a final proof read. Then ordered, and paid for it.. Ten days now before it's dispatched to us, and then it goes on sale.. And that's it done for another year!!..

G has made some cakes for Xmas. These need to mature, and be fed to create a good cake. The fruit was weighed and chopped yesterday, and mixed with butter, sugar and water, and then boiled. Then left overnight to soak up the juices. Today eggs, flour and some spices were added, before being put into baking tins. Then in the oven to bake. All fitted in except one, which was put into the warming oven, and transferred to the top oven as soon as the first one was baked..

Done some online shopping, and assisted with the mixing and spooning out. And took T down to the beach for a run. 4:30 now, and getting dark, streetlamps are on.. Meeting tonight about next years gala day weekend..
