If you go down to the woods today.....

....you'll find a lot of other people, out enjoying the unusually warm and sunny November afternoon - it reached a high of 22C! We were later than usual getting home after church this morning - after service everyone was enjoying their coffee out in the sunshine and no-one seemed to want to go home! Over recent weeks since I broke my wrist back in August, we have been sticking to the flatter trails in the forest, but this afternoon we got a little more adventurous. I managed OK with a helping hand from Roger now and again. You do have to be careful in places as the fallen pine needles on smooth rock can be quite slippery! Where we started our walk there is a large open area, and there in particular there were a lot of people, including several large groups, having picnics, playing games etc, but even out on the trails we saw more people walking than we have in many weeks, including another couple of large groups. I guess everyone was thinking the same - we are unlikely to see temperatures like those again until next Spring!
