Memories

This year's annual Homecoming today brought hundreds of graduates back to the campus - the oldest from the class of 1944.  The theatre was seriously overcrowded for the year-by-year roll call followed by the orchestra performance.  Always so very nice to see my ex-students, although in fact it was all a little bit overwhelming today having previously watched the Cenotaph Service on BBC for Remembrance Day in all its glorious technicoloured sense of duty, tradition, honour, respect and solemnity.   Memories, traditions, thanks and tears.   So important that our past continues through our futures.
