Cuppa!

Went to my first ever ladies tea party this afternoon and I have to say it was all terribly civilised with china teacups, loose leaf tea, finger sandwiches and scrummy homemade cakes. Then the wine came out!

As soon as the sun was over the yardarm, wine o'clock was declared and the teacups were replaces by wine glasses. It was lovely having a good old gossip with, what was for me, a new group of friends and I am hoping we can repeat it again very soon as I had to leave early.

Tonight was a night of fireworks and the smell of smoke in the air. Now exhausted so heading to bed for an early night.
