Leafy Lawn

Dull and dreary again today but at least the rain makes the fallen leaves look super pretty (and slippery). I took this photo on a whim as I had really no idea what I was going to use as today's blip and only remembered I had this after a few failed attempts at staged shots using the child and/or the kitten.

I really love how prominent the veins on the leaves are and think the addition of the rain really makes them 'pop'. There is true beauty in autumn and even though the weather may not be kind, the scenery and the beauty of nature more than makes up for it.

Off to a ladies tea party tomorrow afternoon so expect a shot of pretty china and cucumber sandwiches or similar from me.
