Clearing from the West
I have to admit my expectations of today weren't great, given the weather forecast, but RSPB Titchwell Marsh seldom disappoints. The day began very wet, very dull and very windy. We headed straight for the Fen Hide and the Autumn Trail, the plan being to go down to the beach afterwards as high tide was at 4pm and the forecast was for some improvement. From the Fen Hide we got some great views of Marsh Harriers, and what we think was a Peregrine having a go at a duck!
The weather had one final blast as we set off towards the sea after lunch, but then the clouds cleared from the West and by late afternoon - well, I think the photo says it all! A lovely end to the day! What, no birds? Oh well, perhaps a couple in extras
