A muddy rugby match
What an awful day today - it rained most of the day. Gavin and I had to pop into Guildford to exchange something at a shop, and it rained all the time we were there. We had a coffee at an independent café but it was nowhere near as good as my coffee yesterday! It is great to have Gavin home again, although he is very tired.
After lunch we set off in the rain to go watch Thomas' rugby match. It was windy and very unpleasant at the start of the match, and I found it difficult taking photos, but then the rain stopped and we ended up having a very colourful sunset.
This scrum took place near the start of the match, and you can see how muddy the boys are. Thomas played wing, so is not in this shot, although after half time he moved to play flanker.
I am about to make a crab and prawn risotto for supper, and then a quiet night in watching TV will be just perfect. Tomorrow morning we are going to the Remembrance Sunday service at the school, when Thomas will be playing the Last Post. He said he has got over being nervous about it and is looking forward to it.
