Library Walk

This structure is one of a number which is up for an award - best new building in Manchester.

I suppose the first question is - is it a building ? Not sure about that one but ....

My view (I will be howled down by many) - I like it. I love the glass reflections, the tiled floor with the commemorative red tiles recognising the victims of Peterloo works well, and it respects the two very different buildings either side.

I think it is going to grow on people over time. Although those who hated the idea of covering over part of Library Walk in the first place will I suspect remain resistant.
