IMPACT Nepal: 'in between protests & shutdowns'

Despite 'protests and shutdowns' IMPACT Nepal are working hard in challenging circumstances to maintain their programme to prevent and treat needless disability in rural areas of the country.

Here a school receives a visit from IMPACT Nepal's ENT outreach team. Children's ears are checked for infections such as Otitis Media, which is a major cause of acquired hearing loss in the developing world.

IMPACT Nepal run several rural primary ear care centres, as well as taking mobile ENT clinics to the heart of rural villages, and staging surgical 'camps' (using a special sterile operating tent) for those needing operations to restore their hearing.
