What will it be?

I love this stage of cooking.  Having pulled out the all things I want from cupboard and fridge and having done a rough chop, there's a need to pause for thought. Fry, steam, boil, casserole, oven bake?  Italian style? French? Moroccan or just a taste of home?  Herby or spicy? Etc. Etc. In the end I went sort of Italian, wok fried and then steamed with a bit of chilli and finished with olive oil and parmesan.  Today I finally cleaned up the garage; nails and screws sorted into big boxes, separate spaces for woodwork tools, spanners, screwdrivers, assorted pliers, power tools, car maintenance and so on and so on.  Very satisfying.  Meanwhile the builder blocked up the 1980s style archway that leads into the kitchen (we do have another way in!) and I agreed to do focus groups during November in Inverness and Dounreay - hope the weather holds up!
