My left foot

Apologies to Christy Brown and Daniel Day-Lewis for the title. I managed to drop a solid oak door on my foot as we worked stripping out the old kitchen units ready for a refurb (my only DIY injury of 2016....so far!).  It was a big hit, it was a high door and fell about 6 feet before impact.  I have a lot of abrasion and bruising so you may be thankful that I took this pic with the sock on.  N was great, bringing a basin of cold water to plunge the throbbing foot into and rushing out to get bandages etc.  All strapped up, and after a bit of a rest, the two of us proceeded to rip out all the remaining units from one side of the kitchen.  Rewarding work, but we are allowing ourselves a few glasses of wine tonight to help us recover.
