My heart is in the Highlands

Back in Gonder and soon to leave for Addis. Coming to the end of our time in Ethiopia and I will be sorry to leave this beautiful land and its people. I hope we will be able to visit again one day.

I especially like the highlands where the air is clean and bright and there is an amazing variety of  vegetation and wildlife. One of my favourite trees is the Giant Fig, which is often found in the middle of towns, providing welcome shade. This one is in the middle of a small park in Gonder.
