Doorstep view

Not a bad doorstep to own on evenings like this.
Bit of a breeze but mild with plenty of sun and so the new month has started well. Had an interesting time trying to marry up on the ground the buildings in a village with a fairly rough map created in 1799 -  the first at all detailed one of North Uist.
The technology now of bingmaps (Does anyone else think that Googlemaps have become less detailed in the last year?!), free access to historical OS maps online and a digital copy of the 1799 map made it an interesting task. I think we got there in the end and give Monsieur Reid his due, he wasn't as far off as I thought he might be!
