Bittersweet, Memories... That's all I Take with me
I arrived at the beach tonight, and climbed over the dune to the spot where I mostly sit alone, and watch the sun set; but as I approached I realised someone else was there.
The couple sat completely wrapped up in each others' arms and I felt as though I was intruding on a very private moment.
I carefully walked around the back of them and on to the beach, and made my way to the water's edge were I watched a glorious sunset on a blue, blue sea.
After 20 minutes I walked back up and around them again; they were totally oblivious to me, the pair of them gazing out to sea, and whispering to each other, in what sounded like a foreign tongue.
I couldn't resist but try to capture them as I headed back to the car park, and it was in my mind to stop and offer them the photo - but as the sun disappeared from view, they stood up, and hugged each other tight, and wandered off, down towards the water, and along the sand away from me.
I wondered what they were whispering about; perhaps where they had come from, how they had gotten here, what they were going to do? What ever it was, their complete and utter joy at being alive, and in love and just perfectly content to be with each other was obvious.
I apologise for intruding on your moment, and if you do happen to see this, the photo is yours.
Please see my "other" photo for the sunset as it actually was... i lightened this for you to see them as I could.
My other, other photo, is of some of the pumpkins decorating the fairy trail which has mysteriously appeared in our local woodland. I have never seen so many people in the woods at 1730 in the evening in my life.
