Thanks to Gilles giving us a lift to the airport, we could sleep a little longer and had time to say goodbye to the others over coffee. I was very pleased to learn that, after I went to bed, Mme A had asked Dale if we could buy this painting of his that we'd both admired. We both love his style: the main image is oil on aluminium, but the green tree is painted onto perspex (hence the unfortunate reflections), giving the whole work greater depth.
