The Blusher
I've mostly been photographing colourful small fungi this season but I couldn't resist this near perfect Blusher. The Blusher is a large and fairly common member of the toxic amanita group (amanita rubescens). Cap colour varies widely but when bruised or cut the flesh turns from white to a pink - hence its common name.
