ALL ABOARD, HURRY ALONG THERE

Each boat seems to have it's own dog on the Scillies and this is Ailsa from The Guiding Star. We at last got to Bryher today and it was well worth it, a lovely wild walk round the island watching the waves crashing in. And apart from a hotel stay on the way home tomorrow, and hopefully a pleasant evening meal for the birthday boy, that is the end of the holiday. Although I was apprehensive about coming here it has been wonderful, we have seen plenty of rare birds and walked a lot, though with all the exercise we have probably eaten enough to negate the hoped for weight loss. We did not even get around to hiring bikes or a golf cart, but we did visit every island and enjoyed their individual character.

Now I must pack the laptop and hope the books, bulbs, bits and bobs and the odd rocks and shells don't make our baggage overweight for the return ferry tomorrow.
