Waves
12.4C starting bright, then clouding over with rain through the morning. Clearing from lunchtime and brightening. Some sunny spells. Moderate then light breeze.
Some family history research this morning. Working on a maternal branch of the family at the moment.
Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. Runrig on the Nano. The field across the road from the side of our house had several tractors, potato harvesting machines, and trailers all working hard to get the potatoes harvested quickly.
We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We came back along the cycle path then carried on along the road and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the road bridge over the railway. The tide was almost fully in. Waves were crashing on the beach, driven in by the South Easterly wind.
I thought I would try something completely different for Abstract Thursday, so rather than build a layered abstract shot I used a slow shutter speed and camera movement to abstract the scene at the beach and enhanced the resulting colours until I was happy with the result.
We came back over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
