Rainy Day

It was a rainy day today. It rains a lot in Suzhou. I enjoy it most days; that is until my shoes get wet. But it keeps the humidity down and the pollution bearable for a few hours.

I spent the evening with one of my Chinese friends cooking jiaozi (Chinese dumplings) with her family. When we were walking over to her apartment building, we ran into her mother and daughter. I snapped this picture of her little girl. You can't tell from the picture but she was excited today because she got to play in the rain.
