Who goes there?

Limped around the fields this afternoon - (not bad really just looking for the sympathy vote!) Everywhere looking lush and green. The Jersey cows are frisky and obviously enjoying their freedom in the fields. The corn is high but very green. Couldn't help feeling rural England takes some beating.
On the way back up the village, approached a gate and heard familiar 'wowling'. It was Gus who just had to see who was passing. He is very vocal and loves to be petted so stopped to oblige. He came out and fussed around Bracken very amicably before we moved on.
Weather very pleasant, enough to tempt me into the garden. Spent a good hour weeding and tidying the borders. Made a satisfying improvement especially now the grass is cut too.
