IMPACT's Jibon Tari floating hospital, Bangladesh

Volunteer surgeons operating on board IMPACT's Jibon Tari floating hospital.  More than 500 impoverished patients have had their sight restored in the past three months alone.

There are around 700 rivers in Bangladesh, so a hospital boat is the ideal way to take medical care and surgery to underserved communities.

Operations to restore sight, hearing and mobility, and repair cleft lip all take place on board. £40 is the average cost to IMPACT of each life-transforming operation.
