I forgot the girl scout rules - I wasn't prepared.
I always have my camera with me, always. Well not today! So these lovelies are taken with my phone.
Driving across the Wolds and I spot an unusual sight. So unusual that I turned around and went back to the spot. A lovely family were enjoying a sunny afternoon paddling in the village pond. Mum and her three kids and their pets. A 20 week old barn owl and a twenty week old Great Grey Owl called Mr Whoo. Not something you come across everyday. They allowed me to take their photographs and spend some time chatting to them about their menagerie Todays extra photo is the barn owl that remains as yet nameless. Such a shame I didn't have the real camera..
Earlier in the evening I also remembered that I am very lucky to come into contact with some amazing people. Tonight a wonderful young man shared an event that had made him happy this week. It was such a simple but wonderful thing, he had adopted an auntie because he has no relatives. He also had not given a thought about what he would get from this new relationship but was planning with great excitement what he could do for her at Christmas.
It's been an wonderful day full of simple but extra ordinary events. Even if the chemist wouldn't/couldn't give me my flu jab - all because I'd had an allergic reaction to a tetanus injection! If he hadn't have done that I wouldn't have driven over the Wolds to my doctors! (No I still didn't get it, they were closed for training!)
