Film Studies Project

Jon left for Cambridge just after 7, and I then thought about getting up for 20 minutes until the instruction actually made it down to my legs and I actually got out of bed.

I took the dogs for a long walk and was back home by 8.15 to do last nights washing up & generally tidy. By 9.20 we were all up and on our way to Sheringham, where we had to post a parcel to Daniel. Henry got his hair cut and we browsed a bit. Interestingly a lot of the shops didn't open until 10am, which I thought quite odd for a seaside town during half term! There is work going on by the station; the tourist information & toilets have all been demolished. Apparently a new tourist information will be built, plus an extended platform.

Back home, we retired to the summerhouse for a cappuccino & biscuit, & to write a list. I had things buzzing around in my head, in no proper order. I needed the list! We had about an hour before lunch so decided to do outside jobs.

Mollie has a music video to make with a friend from college as part of her course work. She spent an hour or more filming Henry in different locations around the garden. They both really enjoyed it & the weather was perfect for it. I cut the grass in the meantime & managed to weed one small bit of my garden & planted the fig tree & rosemary bush that have been in pots since we moved.. There is lots more to do, but it is nice and tidy at least.

We watched Grease this afternoon while doing craft stuff. I made some tiny origami figures - like you do. Mollie carried on making more boards to present my jewellery on. She is being a huge help to me.

We had pizza for tea - lazy me. I'm now going to have a bath, then my plan is to make elephants & snowmen while University Challenge is on! Then 'Only Connect' & 'Doc Martin'. I think Monday is the only day I watch tv all evening. Hence an early blip.

I feel like I've made progress today! Getting up early (for holiday time) really paid off - I may do it again tomorrow!
