Orchid

Some months ago the authorities in Cambourne chopped down quite a few quite respectable trees. The reasons given were (a) that it was a demand by the water company because they were too near the sewers, and (b) it would allow Bee Orchids to flower. Notably the second was given larger prominence on the notices.

I found this unexpectedly today. So is this what it was all about? Pity it's nowhere near where they chopped the trees down.
