Dunham Massey

As this morning was set fair, we decided to go to Dunham Massey to enjoy the autumn colours.

At the same time, lots of other people made exactly the same decision.

No problem - it is there to be enjoyed. Even if it did feel a bit like Blackpool prom.

The deer - for the most part - sensibly hid away amongst the bracken.

Point of note - last year, hardly any acorns. This year, lots and lots. The jays have been much in evidence over the last few weeks searching them out, and caching them for the coming winter.
