Autumn

I spent this morning clearing out - still loads to do

This afternoon to Knutsford. We didn't see what we were looking for, but the sun came out - at last.

I like autumn. I love the yellows of the silver birches. The yellows of the llmes are OK. The oaks are always a bit disappointing. But the beeches - this is a branch of one - are one of my favourites, the leaves have a deep orange about them, mixed with bright yellows, and they really make the autumn colours shine.

In my fantasy world I would have a garden with beech hedges, and birches (love the shapes of these trees, and their trunks).
