More Nonsense

Look at those autumnal colours! Up visiting maw - she doesn't half talk some rubbish, these days. That was after a lunchtime meet up with sis up at Montpelier's, mostly talking rubbish too.
*pretentiousness alert* Earlier, as I cleaned the gaff, I was listening to Lord Bragg discuss the life of Alexander the Great (as you do) and the question came up as to the truth of the story that Alexander had killed Cleitus in a drunken rage, and one of the learned fellows opined that the Macedonians regularly held parties where huge amounts of drink were consumed and everyone got hopelessly drunk. So that's where it comes from, quipped oor Melvyn. Haw haw, eh? More comedy gold - only on the Pensioner channel.
Later, it was off to see the Martian, an entertaining space romp, and even later there was a fabby pizza at Oregano. And home in time for Jools. I must remember to stop looking forward to it.
