Classic London

Today I became a London Tourist.

I started my tour at London Bridge Station with a neck stretching view of the Shard, London's newest and tallest building. I wandered through Southwark, past the Golden Hind to the Globe Theatre and over the Millenium Bridge toward St Paul's Cathedral which following complaints from Prince Charles and other some years ago, once again dominates the river at this point.

I continued walking along the Thames towards Charing Cross, and joined the mainly office workers in the Victoria Embankment Gardens for lunch. Covent Garden was the next port of call.

It was here that I noticed this young man with a bunch of flowers, clearly waiting for someone, next to a pair of postal red phone boxes. I had just passed a stall selling black and white prints of London with red phone boxes, post boxes, buses etc. left in colour - so decided to try my hand for today's blip.

The remainder of my "stroll" through London took me through Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square to Westminster - where my feet finally gave up and I grabbed a bus to Waterloo and a train hame.
