Chickadee
Black-capped chickadee at the bird feeder set off by the beautiful autumn birches in the background. Chickadees have a large head in relation to their body size which supposedly makes them cute. Works for me. They are also the most reliable of feeder birds, first to find the food, first to let me know with their body language when the feeder is empty. They also have a large range of vocalizations, which, if you happen to be standing nearby, are quite surprisingly loud. They always seem cheerful, they don't squabble (much) - all in all they are probably my favorite feeder bird. They are certainly the one I would miss the most if they were to vanish overnight.
