Fact finding

Aileen MacLeod , Scotland's Environment , Climate Change & Land Reform Minister , who is a good friend and with whom I have worked for a few years now , stayed with Cathleen and I at Feorlean last night.

This morning she came with me to meet some of my constituents concerned with forestry , deer management and land reform.

Her job is the best in the Government ( though I am prejudiced about that , having been Environment Minister from 2007 - 2009) and she does it exceptionally well.

She listened and asked questions and at this visit - to stalker , game dealer and deer expert Winston Churchill who lives near Clachaig - she saw at first hand the problems and possibilities facing a good rural business.
