Sports exercise, Science and Rehabilitation
This morning I was talking to small groups of first year physiotherapy students at the University of Birmingham about how people living with dementia might experience a visit to a physiotherapist and what they might be able to do to make the experience a more positive one. I had six minutes with each group (8 groups) which meant it was very much a dip your toe in the water experience! They all seemed engaged and keen to know what might happen. Oh to be young, bright and bushy tailed!
The building was a modern one labelled the Sports exercise, Science and Rerehabilitation building and was nestled underneath the shadow of the iconic clock tower at the university. The extra shows the label for one of the courses they run there. As a non-golfer, I was a bit bemused by it...
