Wet Day Still Life

What to blip when it's wet all day?
Well I've been thinking about attempting a still life for ages but have never felt that I knew what I was really doing. I looked for tips online but it wasn't very helpful, searched on here for previous blips and found this beautiful example by Carlo.

I tried some fruit and veg but settled on these Dahlias that I'd bought at the weekend. With a bit of help from TheAphid plus a tiny bit of  processing I'm quite pleased with it.
