Ripping...

The fireplace in our new house was made from the old school wot the old lady wot used to live here used to be headmistress for... She said it was very special to her ... We vowed to keep it. Then it turned out it was a total pain in the arse and that if we wanted a stove fitting, we'd end up with a hearth that was basically half the living room.

So it's come out.

We feel very guilty.

We've kept the stone though. The stove guys have been super sensitive about it and not bashed it to bits.

We shall build something lovely with it on the garden to assuage our guilt :)
