Fragile Brittlegill
Another lovely subtle colour is found on the cap of Russula fragilis, the Fragile Brittlegill. This is a surprisingly delicate woodland fungi and finding a specimen with an undamaged cap is not an everyday occurrence even though this is a fairly common fungi. The cap colour can vary widely but usually includes some combination of violet, purple or pink.
