Green Elfcup

If you find fallen green-stained wood - particularly oak - turn it over and nine times out of ten you won't see anything but sometimes you get lucky and find the tiny fruitbodies of  Green Elfcup, Chlorociboria aeruginascens.
Wood stained green by Chlorociboria fungi has long been used in decorative woodworking such as Tunbridgeware.
