Magpie
Today I'm doing a Mr and Mrs GOG - taking pictures out the kitchen window! This morning I just happen to look out the window and saw this magpie. He/she had a partner, but when I went to open the window, the Partner flew away, although this bird stayed where it was.
I have to say I don't like Magpies. They are very noisy birds, and can be very aggressive during their July to December breeding season. They defend their territory and young by swooping and attacking animals and humans. They usually attack people around the head and eyes and these attacks, especially on children, can be terrifying and dangerous. Magpies are known to harass and sometimes kill a variety of native and introduced birds. They also eat insects and lizards.
I wish they would return to Australia, where they originally came from!
Hope you are all having a brilliant start to the week!
