It's a sort of normality

4 hours in the kitchen planning, baking, cutting and icing felt like normal. It was lovely. I may have gone a step too far with my ambitions for J's cake but then I haven't tried to make a double bass yet.

The picture top left is my blip of J's 10th cake. I feel I set a precedent so that is the planned design for Anna's on the right. The picture at the front is the cake Anna has designed for herself in her doodle book so I'm going to try and incorporate as much of it as possible. And try and create a piñata cake I read about. Carl thinks I have truly lost the plot. But honestly 4 hours of me, baking and Radio4 and I couldn't have been happier.

I'm just hoping when I see J's cake in the morning I don't feel the need to start all over again.
