Mint Harvest...
Backblip...
A little snap of a sprig of mint from my tub in the garden, before I harvested what was left to go in the freezer to see me over the winter.
The window blind man returned with his son to double check the window measurements and confirm our choice of blinds. He will return to fit them on 11th November. Another thing ticked off the list. Yay!
The soup that I made last night for today's lunch with my friend Alison was a disaster! Now putting modesty aside for a moment, I made bloody good soup so no idea what went wrong. I am blaming Alison though as the same thing happened when she came for lunch last time, my soup was rubbish (I'd made parsnip and apple soup and it looked and tasted like baby sick!) She must jinx it!
Anyhoo, the local coop saved the day and we had fresh (as fresh as you can get from a supermarket) potato and leek soup and it was fine. We then proceeded to stuff ourselves with cheese and biscuits and finished off with the cream cakes Alison brought. Healthy eating is oot the windae today. Oh, well it's nice to have a wee treat now and again.
Alison left just before 6pm and by the time Alan's dinner, and our dinner was over, all I was fit for was dozing on the sofa.
Socialising is tiring work.
:-)))
