On the shore . . .

A lovely walk around the cliff, long the shore, rock pooling and looking for shells on the beach.  Warm in the sun, but chilly when you were out of it.  Lots of turnstones and curlews at the water's edge.

A day of laughing and chatting, catching up, reminiscing and looking at each other's photos.  We first knew each other in 1977 when I came to Orkney, and though  Shelagh left in 1980, we have always been close and kept in touch, so lots of shared memories.
