a false start in the pig olympic sprint trials

What a nice day! Started with a swim in the outdoor pool at Woodstock, a browse in the charity shop resulted in a good trawl for baby R; a bit of housework. Then a trip to a nice independent local garden centre/nursery was followed by a delicious homemade sourdough bread for lunch. Then lots of gardening, inspired by Monty Don to pull out lots of boring stuff and plant the lavenders and lupins bought this morning.
Slightly less virtuous after that - a bike ride to observe the pigs was fun. The farmers has planted bee and bird friendly field margins, which today looked like a river of white daisies. ThenPimms in the garden, well, the bottle needed finishing up.
