Cut and Grab...

Tractor Tuesday again.Weaned the calves I brought home on Friday. They got their backs clipped to stop them sweating,their first pneumonia vaccine and a pour on wormer to kill stomach and lung worms and lice.
Had to open up the silage pit to give them something to eat,as now they are on the slatted floor they can't get fed silage bales. The grass in the bales is long,and if the cattle pull it through the feed barrier,it gets down into the slurry and makes it impossible to pump out. (We learned this the hard way when the shed was built in 1974 ! )
It doesn't seem that long since I was chucking tyres onto the pit to hold the plastic sheet down.!
A trip to see the Dr as this finger is not healing up as quick as it should. "Probably because you are still working" according to the Dr.
Home with more antibiotics and a course of anti inflammatory pills.
