The final countdown....

Took 3 cows down to the market at St Boswells today. Had to make a bit of a detour to get there as the A68 was closed near Lauder.
Today was the last sale by John Swan ,as come Wednesday they are being taken over by Carlisle based Harrison and Hetherington. My cows were nearly the last ones to be sold,but not nearly enough to make history !
I was clearing our a bookcase yesterday and came across a Reserve Champion ticket from Swans in 1968 for fat lambs,so we have been customers for a long time !
Came home via the A7 to avoid any more detours,but didn't manage to spot any more trains !
