High street regeneration? I don't think so...

Especially on the streets of Altrincham - once a very pretty market town with a thriving and varied shopping centre - now it is just a shadow of its former glory.  The main photo is the old Barclays Bank on the main road, right next to the new hospital (its finished now).  The Bank has relocated to another part of Altrincham and is very nice but what is going to happen to this building?  Other shops featured used to be a lovely, independent cafe, lighting shop and jewellers.  Sad really... (lots of Charity & Pound Shops of course!!)
