Maudlin Mimulus

Well, no rest for the wicked etc! Was just about to go out and dung the paddock at 11 when the rain started hammering down, followed shortly after by thunder and lightening. Lovely (NOT)! So the paddock dunging had to be much delayed and I found other things to do whilst waiting for it all to pass - which took ages :((
This has all set me back big time, and will leave no time for blipping later - I have to be out at 6, and have a committee meeting (which as secretary I MUST go to) so won't be home until about 9:30 - meaning that I have to record the footie and watch it as soon as I get in, grrrrr. So once the storm had moved on and the rain became intemittent I decided to grab my chance then, and whizzed into the garden for a quick blip hunt. The first bloom on my Mimulus plants has opened today, had been battered and soaked by the storm, and looked a bit maudlin - poor thing. Who can blame it? This weather's enough to make anyone feel maudlin ....
I better get outside now the weather's settled somewhat, and get that dunging done ... c'mon England!
