Red Squirrel

Homeless ...

... for now anyway. I bought this Clematis 'Anna Louise' in spring of last year, when I took a visitor I had here to the nearby Clematis nursery (any excuse will do! lol).
I never did figure where to plant it and it stood resolutely through the winter in its pot, near the house, refusing to succumb to the weather. It's now come into flower - purple and dark red probably being my favourite colour combination of all, so rich and sumptuous - I already have an established one of a similar colour but less and larger petals - 'Star of India' - but when I saw it I couldn't resist it ... I can resist everything except temptation! (George Bernard Shaw). I really must find it a home but I'm running out of places to grow Clematis up, over and through - though I do have somewhere in mind I think it should do well and look glorious. Then there's another variety (different colours) I really HAVE to buy in autumn once the nursery have it back in stock ........ oh gawd! Will I ever learn?
