The weekends still aren't long enough to get essential jobs done AND have a rest. This one has been no exception.

At least I got another lie in. Then once up ironed to the dulcet tones of William & Ed Grundy. Then a quick trip to Homebase where we bought brackets to put up Mollie's recycled shelves. She did the painting last weekend. The afternoon was spent with Jon putting up shelves in both hers and Henry's bedrooms. They are both very happy - & have quickly filled the shelves. He also put a new thing in the toilet to make it flush & fill properly.

I had hoped to write a poem, make a bag & make some earrings. I only actually half made some Rudolphs - but it's a start.

Got the PPI letters in envelopes then went out for a dusk walk through the village. When we got back, the kids had a nice open fire going, and were toasting tiny marshmallows to top their hot chocolate. I went back in the loft (I'd spent quite a lot of the afternoon up there) to try and tidy a bit more. I killed a giant wasp while I was there then moved bits about.

Still so much to do. Just realised the washing is still out. Let's hope tomorrow brings some sun...
