Up on the roof

Between us, we've had a productive day.

While Mr A was at work, I got on with my housework (Saturday is the new Monday for me now), and pruned back the apple tree.

Mr A arrived home a little earlier than expected (to avoid the rugby traffic) and decided to make the most of the early evening light and weather and make a start cleaning the moss off the roof.

We get alot of moss, and leaves, especially this time of year, so Mr A  makes a concerted effort to keep the gutters clear and free flowing ready for winter. I was chief ladder holder and potential soft landing for if he fell off; preferable to him landing on my greenhouse!

He worked hard bless him and managed to get the worst side of the roof done, he will attempt the other side tomorrow if conditions are the same as today when he gets back from work.

After all that graft, he deserves a beer, so we are off down the local for a few tonight :-)

When I come home feelin' tired and beat
I go up where the air is fresh and sweet
(up on the roof)
I get away from the hustling crowd
And all of that rat race noise down in the street
(Up on the roof)
On the roof, the only place I know
Where you just have to wish to make it so
Let's go up on the roof
(Up on the roof)
