Here There Be Dragons

All of a sudden, the peace of our Saturday morning was broken by a great din of drumming, interspersed with blaring brass bands and loud explosions from muzzle loader rifles!  Upon looking out the window, we saw a big parade wending its way down Washington Street, complete with acrobats, dragons, flags, musicians, motorcycles, and flags and banners.  When I looked it up on the internet, I learned that "In celebration of the National Day of the Republic of China, the Chinese Community of New England is sponsoring a parade full of performances and a flag raising ceremony."  You just never know what you're going to find on the streets of Boston!
